Whet Your Seafood Appetite in Miami Beach
The South Beach Seafood Festival begins next week and we’re all excited to attend one of the many events in store. For those of us, that just can’t wait that long, there are a couple of new seafood places in Miami Beach you can try in the meantime.
Andina Miami Beach on Alton Road features a mix of Peruvian and Latin American dishes straight from the coast of Peru plus the highlands of the Andes. Seafood lovers may wish to try the ceviche or the grilled octopus. The restaurant currently has a five-star rating on Yelp and more than twenty reviews, so it’s safe to say the food is quite good.
Over on Lincoln Road, La Cerveceria De Barrio is both a traditional Mexican food spot plus a bar featuring a largely seafood-based menu. It is the first location in the country, after originally making its debut in its native Mexico City back in 2006. Guests can try dishes like seafood carpaccio, shrimp stew, plus a raw bar featuring oysters and clams. La Cerveceria De Barrio opens at 11:30 and closes late.
The Cuban food hall El Palacio de los Jugos is on Jefferson Avenue and is part of a larger chain of restaurants found throughout Miami. True to its name, it serves a variety of juices as well as seafood like paella, shrimp, and grilled salmon. There are also sandwiches to try if you prefer a non-pescetarian menu.
