Where to Go for the Best 4th of July Celebrations in South Florida
The fact that Independence Day falls on a Monday this year will allow many of us to benefit from a long weekend. If you’re looking for 4th of July events, here are a few ideas:
Star-Spangled Awesome
The Wharf Miami, July 4 (at noon)
Everyone’s go-to waterfront party place will be hosting a full day of live music, beer specials, and, of course, fireworks to celebrate America’s independence. Find a spot for the free midnight pyro spectacular while sipping red, white, and blue cocktails.
4th of July Rooftop BBQ
Moxy South Beach, July 4 (6–11pm)
The 4th of July is one of the few celebrations that demands a rooftop barbecue. Make use of the Moxy South Beach’s rooftop for your festivities, where you can enjoy a special BBQ cuisine, drink discounts, and, of course, fantastic views of the South Beach fireworks. One High Noon Seltzer is included at the $10 ticket fee.
Freedom Fest
Gulfstream Park, July 4 (6–10pm)
A family-friendly festival with plenty of food, music, and entertainment is held at the outdoor entertainment complex and racecourse. There is a fireworks display, a family-friendly celebration with a DJ, stilt walkers, jugglers, and a BBQ buffet with brisket and hamburgers (5:30–10pm; $35).
