The Seven Deadly Sins Are Coming to Miami Beach

Are you eager to experience some live performance art in South Florida again? It’s a new season and the seven deadly sins are coming to Miami Beach.

Miami New Drama is gearing up to launch a series of short plays each revolving around those names we known gluttony, greed, and sloth, to name a few. These brief plays will take place in a series of Lincoln Road storefronts that are currently sitting vacant. The project is being dubbed “7 Deadly Sins — Temptation in the Magic City”.

The plays are set to debut in November and December. To keep with social distancing measures, each play will be limited to ten people using headphones to listen to the action as the actors perform inside of the storefront.

In the hope of boosting business and filling vacancies along one of the most expensive retail streets in the country, Miami Beach has enabled cultural institutions and new retail shops to find temporary homes on Lincoln Road. An abandoned storefront was recently taken over by the Miami City Ballet.

Due to the pandemic, which has affected conventional theater venues, the move by Miami New Drama is one of the most recent attempts by theater makers to provide their art to the public.
