The Return of Jazid
Most if not all nightclubs in Miami Beach are currently closed because of the coronavirus concerns. However, once the virus has come and gone, you can expect to see a potentially familiar name among the many places welcoming people looking to have a good time.
Does the name Jazid ring a bell? Located on Washington Avenue, the live music club has earned something of iconic status. Before closing its doors in 2017, the venue had welcomed many notable musical acts including the late legendary musician Prince, Latin music superstar Ricky Martin, Super Bowl LIV co-headliner Shakira, and many more.
Now under new ownership with a new creative director at its helm, the reinvigorated Jazid is keeping its roots in the past as a nod to its history while embracing changes. The downstairs bar now features new styles harkening to the 70s and the Renaissance era while the upstairs social club features comfy leather couches in teal and chandeliers adorned in crystal. Interestingly, guests of the new Jazid are encouraged to dance their cares away on top of the furniture.
The new Jazid can be found at 1342 Washington Avenue. It will be open on Wednesdays through Sundays from 6 pm until late night.
