The Inaugural Miami Grand Prix Boasts Star-Studded Lineup of Events

Miami Grand Prix promoter South Florida Motorsports has announced that a party-style event will be hosted on Wednesday, May 4, the day before the first ever Formula 1 race in the city. The party will take place at the giant podium structure that is being erected on the south side of the stadium that is home to the NFL Miami Dolphins and University of Miami college football teams. The event will also be streamed live on the Formula One social media outlets.

The curtain-raising extravaganza will feature performance by Norwegian DJ and producer Kygo. The event will also feature podium interviews with F1 drivers and team principals, W Series racers and A-list celebrities. The event’s general admission tickets are $100 and will allow fans to witness parts of the Miami International Autodrome circuit up close for the first time.

Aside from the track festivities, Mercedes F1 team sponsor FTX has teamed up with the city of Miami Beach to host a three-day fan festival on the sands of the city’s famed South Beach. Mercedes F1 cars will be on display on the world-famous Ocean Drive on both Saturday and Sunday of the race weekend. On May 6, the ‘FTX Off The Grid’ event will kick off on the beachfront across from 10th Street and Ocean, with ticketed music performances in the evenings by top DJs Disclosure, Kaytranada and Jamie XX in an event dubbed ‘Sunset on the Sand.’

Electric Beach-themed activities will take place throughout the day at the 165,000 square foot facility. This will include a Mercedes F1 garage and car display, art galleries, a Swiss watchmaker IWC, fashion presentations and motorsport simulators, all of which will be open to the public throughout the race weekend.
