The Evolution of Just Dance

Do you play video games at all? If you do, you may be at least somewhat familiar with Just Dance, a popular rhythm game series. The series debuted in 2009 and has since spawned a number of highly successful sequels, the latest being Just Dance 2018 featuring songs by artists like multiplatinum singer-songwriter Shakira, Selena Gomez, Luis Fonsi (perhaps best known to American audiences for the massive hit “Despacito”), and many more. Today, Just Dance is the number one music video game franchise.

Just Dance’s popularity has grown enough to the point where the game has now evolved and spawned a live concert tour. Just Dance Live will be debuting its pilot tour right here in Miami Beach, at the Fillmore to be specific. The show will celebrate all of the qualities that have made Just Dance so popular: the dance moves, the costumes, and of course the great music.

Just Dance Live will have its first show on Thursday, March 8th and will run until the 11th. If you’ve ever played one of the games, it should be a fun experience! For those of you that are fans of the franchise, will you be purchasing tickets to the show?
