Miami Beach hotels nowadays are far more than just another fine place to spend a few nights. Two of the city’s classic hotels are not only welcoming guests but also keeping things fresh by offering a slew of exciting new offerings for those that want to try something new.

The Betsy on Ocean Drive in South Beach underwent an expansion back in 2016, annexing Collins Avenue’s classic Carlton Hotel. The merger of sorts resulted in more than 120 rooms featuring a distinct Art Deco and Colonial style. The alley between the two properties is now the home of the similarly named The Alley, a casual gelateria and pizza restaurant that opened just in time for Art Basel last year. Over at The Carlton lobby, you’re going to find a Panther Coffee outpost.

In 2017, the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort on Collins Avenue unveiled a massive renovation. The new Carillon boasts more than 140 lavish all-suite rooms and the hotel itself boasts over 600 feet of oceanfront plus a huge 65,000+ square foot spa. Even since the days it went by the name of Canyon Ranch, Carillon continues its focus on health and wellness, with plenty of facilities centered around wellness and nutrition. Dine at The Strand Bar & Grill or check out the exclusive Carillon Spa & Beach Club, open to a maximum of 200 members.
