Enjoy These Free South Florida Events
Are you looking to save some money this summer? Cutting back on spending doesn’t mean you need to stay indoors. Today we’re spotlighting a couple of events that you can attend in and around Miami that either won’t cost you a dime or won’t necessarily break the bank.
Longtime South Floridians may be familiar with Bryan Norcross and his extensive hurricane knowledge. Earlier this year, he released his book My Hurricane Andrew Story, discussing his experiences during the devastating 1992 natural disaster. Norcross will be signing his work at popular Books & Books in Coral Gables on Thursday, July 20.
Also on Thursday, Markham Park will host the Brochella Park Jam music festival kicking off at noon. If you enjoy listening to R&B and hip-hop with a local touch, definitely get out there and support some of the South Florida acts set to make an appearance.
If driving to Sunrise seems too daunting, head over to Basement Miami to check out Yes: Swim Week Edition on Thursday night at 10 pm. The monthly party will have plenty of drinks on hand, music by DJ Joe Gauthreaux, and over forty swimwear giveaways from notable brands like Marco Marco. There is no cover charge to attend.
