How to Celebrate Father’s Day in Miami

In honor of all the wonderful fathers in our lives, on the third Sunday in June we celebrate Father’s Day. Here are some of our favorite ways to celebrate with Dadi:

Play a Round of Golf

Treat Dad to a day of golf. Crandon Golf Key Biscayne is a mangrove-lined championship course that has been rated as one of the best in the country. Another excellent alternative is the Miami Beach Golf Club, a historic 18-hole, par-72 course with an Art Deco clubhouse in the middle of Miami Beach. Treat your father to one of two championship 18-hole golf courses at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa Golf Course in Aventura, which is located a bit further north. After that, visit the golf course’s signature restaurant and bar, CORSAIR Kitchen & Bar. If he doesn’t want to play 18 holes, take him to Topgolf Doral for an afternoon of hitting balls and playing point-scoring games.

Take a Father’s Day Fishing Cruise

Deering Estate will conduct its annual Father’s Day Fishing Cruise on Sunday, June 19. The Pelican Island Skipper, a 45-foot catamaran, will take you on a three-hour fishing trip. Naturalists from Deering Estate are on board to teach guests about maritime life and native birds. While some rods and equipment are supplied, guests are advised to bring their own. Bait will be available.

The Father’s Day Marketplace

Make time for this Liberty City event, where Dad may enjoy food trucks, cocktails, spa services, pop-up shops, cigars, and more. June 19th, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Explore Oleta River State Park

Take your father to Oleta River State Park in North Miami Beach if he enjoys outdoor activities. This protected river estuary, which includes more than 1,000 acres of green space and tidal mangroves, is considered Florida’s largest urban park. You can stay in one of 14 rustic, air-conditioned cabins overnight or just spend the day kayaking, biking, hiking, and swimming.
