Practice Safety When out Shopping in Miami Beach

Do you want to do some shopping in Miami Beach? Should you need to, it is no longer an option to wear a mask to shield yourself from COVID-19. The city recently issued an order requiring all staff and customers to wear some sort of cover when they walk into a grocery store, pharmacy, or restaurant. The directive also extends, for example, to those doing deliveries for businesses like drugstores.

It’s worth noting that in terms of the order, the concept of what constitutes a “mask” is quite loose. You can choose to wear a traditional face mask, but if that isn’t feasible due to reasons such as scarcity, you can also wear anything like a bandana, a handkerchief, or even a scarf as long as the nose and mouth are being covered. Such masks are not intended to replace any of the other effective ways of shielding yourself from COVID-19: social distancing and washing your hands often.

Note that it is best to remain indoors unless there is a definite need to go out, such as buying household items or walking your pet so it can take care of its needs.
