Weekend Events to Enjoy
The threat of Hurricane Dorian affected Labor Day weekend celebrations, but we can now enjoy a weekend free of any major storm threat. In case you need ideas on what to do this weekend after being stuck indoors, here are a few suggestions.
Tonight, veteran DJ and record producer Paul Oakenfold is bringing his acclaimed musical talents to Treehouse in Miami Beach. With three studio albums plus numerous mixes under his belt for artists like Madonna and The Rolling Stones, you can see for yourself why DJ Magazine twice named him the world’s number one DJ for two consecutive years. Tickets are only $15 to $25.
Tomorrow, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts will host its ArtsLaunch fall preview. Expect to see lots of performances, workshops, activities, tours, and even a farmers market. There is no cost to attend this event which, among other things will feature a complimentary lesson in public flamenco by Siudy Garrido. ArtsLaunch kicks off bright and early at 9 am and continues ‘til 8 pm.
Also on Saturday, Vive Miami Fest will welcome over twenty different Latin music acts to Wynwood. These names include Alex Sensation, Zion & Lennox, Amenazzy, and plenty more. Tickets range from $40 to $95.
