Where to Watch the Election in South Florida
Today is a big day, ladies and gentlemen! Millions of Americans are deciding the future of the country during the midterm elections. If you haven’t gone out to vote yet, now is the time! The polls will remain open until 7 pm. For those that want to watch the election results as they happen, several places will be hosting election parties. Let’s take a look at a few.
MTV is spurring the younger crowd to get involved in the voting process and it’s also hosting its own MTV Election Afterparty happening at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. The red carpet kicks off at 6 pm before the party begins at 7 pm until 10 pm. While admission is free, do keep in mind that you must be of legal voting age to attend.
The University of Miami (UM) in Coral Gables is hosting the University of Miami Extravaganza Watch Party spearheaded by student initiative called Get Out the Vote which encourages students to become involved in the election process. The party itself is going down at the Rathskeller, UM’s bar and it begins at 6:45 pm.
Regardless of where your vote goes, just make sure you get out there and have your voice heard if you haven’t already.
